David Butler
Mr. Butler divides his professional life between teaching, writing,
research, and the clinic. He wrote the best selling text "Mobilization
of the Nervous System" and is currently co-authoring the "Dynamic
Nervous System" with Louis Gifford. He is a visiting lecturer to the
post-graduate manual therapy program at the University of South
Australia. David lectures widely and in recent years has presented
keynote lectures and taught in the United States, Canada, South Africa,
Scandinavia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and many other European
centers. He teaches mobilization of the nervous system concepts with
the Neuro-Orthopedic Institute and is particularly interested in the
integration of clinical reasoning science and pain science into manual
therapy. He has research interests in the sympathetic nervous system
and clinical interests in chronic pain.
