Dr. Taylor received her undergraduate degree from Luther College and her medical degree from the University of Iowa. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology internship and residency with the Blodgett/St. Mary's program in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Taylor has done extensive additional training for treatment of urinary incontinence in women and surgical treatment of pelvic floor relaxation. She did preceptorships with Dr. David Nichols at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Dr. Bobby Shull at Scott and White Clinic in Texas and Dr. George Morley and Dr. John DeLancey at University of Michigan for complex vaginal prolapse reconstructive surgery. She had additional training for urinary incontinence evaluation, urodynamic assessment and surgical repair techniques for incontinence at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, Hutzel Hospital in Detroit and from UCLA staff physicians. She has participated in numerous cadaver labs for surgical anatomy and technique training.
Her philosophy includes teaching the patient about her specific diagnosis and then giving each patient the appropriate options to choose from. Each patient receives individualized care.
