Canine Manual Therapy CERTIFICATE PROGRAM (CCMT)

About

Developed specifically for certified canine rehabilitation practitioners, the Certified Canine Manual Therapist (CCMT) program emphasizes a specialized treatment approach that consists of hands-on techniques including joint mobilization, massage, and other interventions designed to mobilize joints, activate muscles, connective tissues, and stimulate nerves to facilitate healing and restore optimal function.  The CCMT Program is designed to teach advanced principles of manual therapy including massage/soft tissue mobilization, and joint mobilization, with an emphasis on the extremities.

Canine manual therapy brings concepts long regarded as necessities in human medicine to the field of animal health.
The CCMT Program is designed to provide clinicians with practical techniques that will change the way they practice and help patients achieve maximal outcomes.  Mobility is life to an animal and our goal is to allow each dog to live the best quality of life for the longest time possible!

Participants will learn through a hybrid format of online lecture material and a 3-day hands-on lab with dogs as they learn these techniques.
Manual therapy concepts and evidence-based rationale for treatment selection are covered in depth.  Developing goal-focused treatment plans and assessing outcomes in canine rehabilitation patients will also be covered.

”I’m enrolled in the CCMT program and was supposed to attend the in-person session in April but got very ill and had to reschedule until November. However, I’ve been practicing the techniques and am in love with manual therapy.

The same week I was supposed to come to Connecticut my hospital abruptly closed the rehab unit. Another clinic offered me space but at this point we don’t have a treadmill which was always a big draw. I’ve been able to concentrate a lot on the material you taught and I’m seeing real improvement with patients.

Just wanted to say, thank you.”
