DYNAMIC MOVEMENT ASSESSMENT $159
Taught by Trent Nessler, PT, DPT, this course consists of two modules totalling 14 hours. Part 1 addresses the terminology used when referring to human movement, and teaches the impact of movement on biomechanical loading of tissues and pain/inhibition, and the physiology behind the Dynamic Movement Assessment (DMA).Part 2 addresses Exercise Physiology 401, Differential Dx common pathokinematics, and preliminary results of the two-year D1 soccer study.
FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT $159
This 5 part series consists of a total of 15 hours advanced instruction. You will gain an understanding of how pain adversely affects motor control leading to dysfunctional movement. Learn about the evidence and becoming certified to integrate these movement-based screening and testing tools into your practice. Utilize functional movement perspective in your everyday practice when rehabilitating individuals with musculoskeletal pain. Implement the "3 R's" are the framework for the clinician to follow to ensure a systematic intervention approach.
MANAGEMENT OF FOOT AND ANKLE COMPLEX $149
Foot and ankle pathology is common in physical therapy practice. Overuse injuries are often a result of abnormal foot mechanics or due to imbalances higher in the kinetic chain. This course will review the examination and treatment of selected foot and ankle pathologies impacting patients across the adult lifespan. Through lecture presentations and discussions of clinical presentations and case studies, participants will gain an understanding of normal and abnormal gait as it relates to orthopedic dysfunction. In addition, participants will gain an understanding of various foot and ankle pathologies and evidence-based treatment interventions to maximize function.
