Director of Rehabilitation Therapy Services Outreach
Ken’s primary role is the management of Johns Hopkins outpatient physical therapy services at the Johns Hopkins Green Spring Station location. This involves overseeing a team of more than 15 physical and occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists. He has been a member of the APTA Foundation for Physical Therapy (Scientific Advisory Council), the American Physical Therapy Association, and volunteers with V-Linc, volunteers for medical engineering (board member).
Clinical Interests
Ken Johnson is a physical therapist with more than 15 years of experience working with patients. His clinical expertise includes orthopedic rehabilitation with emphasis on hip, knee and foot/ankle injuries. In particular, Ken has a strong clinical interest in sports related rehabilitation and technology-assisted rehabilitation, including:
- Surface Electromyography
- High Speed Motion Capture/Biomechanics with Gait/Running
- Rehabilitation Ultrasound Imaging
- Posturography and Balance
