Description
Mountain Edge Veterinary Technology, in partnership with Northeast Seminars has developed an accredited online program that provides students with a strong and rewarding education in veterinary assisting. Students will learn the skills needed to become an essential part of the veterinary medical team.
The Mountain Edge Veterinary Assistant program includes materials and support to provide the student an extensive education in veterinary assisting. After completion of the online modules, the student will be required to complete a 45 hour externship in a veterinary hospital.
The veterinary assistant program will cover topics in behavior, restraint, nutrition, wound care, aseptic technique, immunology, dentistry, anatomy/physiology, and parasitology for large, small, and exotic animals. Upon completion of the course, students will sit for the NAVTA national certification exam.
