Upon completion of this class, you should be able to:

  • Summarize the principles and technique guidelines for applying Mobilization with Movement (MWM)
  • Describe MWM techniques for the shoulder
  • Describe techniques for applying lumbar SNAGS

Behavioral Objectives

  1. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to recommend one cervical MWM to address a patient with shoulder symptoms radiating to the elbow.
  2. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to incorporate the use of self-generated pressure when applying a MWM for a patient with motion loss and pain in the GH joint.
  3. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to incorporate the use of a mobilization belt to reposition the humeral head in the glenoid fossa for a patient with a painful arc in the shoulder.
  4. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to incorporate a scapular MWM to reduce pain for a patient with AC joint pain.
  5. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to incorporate a MWM to improve ROM into the treatment plan for a patient with IR loss at the GH joint or cervical spine.
  6. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to incorporate a self-SNAG technique using a mobilization belt for a patient with lumbar pain and ROM loss.
  7. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to adapt a manual SNAG technique for the lumbar spine for a patient with painful extension ROM.
