Learning Goals
Upon completion of this class, you should be able to:
- Define cumulative trauma disorder and list examples of CTDs that occur in the upper extremities
- Specify the anatomical structures of the upper extremity that are susceptible to stress and subsequent inflammation
- Identify the four signs of inflammation
- Describe risk factors for upper extremity CTDs and demonstrate simple methods of reducing risks
- Describe functional assessments for measuring the capacity of individuals with CTDs
