Description

The purpose of this course is to give a better understanding of the anatomy of the hand, wrist, and elbow. Dr. Pratt will trace and identify the specific courses of the nerves of the forearm and hand and demonstrate their important relationship and potential entrapment points. The forearm and hand muscles and innervation function will be demonstrated. Dr. Pratt will identify the clinically relevant surface anatomy of the elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand. He will also identify the locations and relationships of the long flexor and extensor tendons of the hand along with their restraints. Also, Dr. Pratt will discuss the structures involved in digital balance. Understanding these anatomical relationships will be instrumental in making clinical evaluations and establishing treatment to reach the desired outcome.
